Here we are on our first day out into the field and already we look bedraggled. You will notice we're wearing three necessities for the field: hat with a brim, sunglasses and backpack which contains three bottles of water, sun block, gloves, knee pads, dental tool, pick, paper, pencil, camera and a woman's best friend in the dry heat, chapstick.
